Thoughts about changing seasons…

Today I went out for a bracing walk. The temperature has plummeted and I can feel the icy wind on my face, neck and ears. I quickened my pace to try and get warm but the wind seemed to go through me. When I spotted a sports shop, I popped in and bought a much needed hat to keep my head and ears warm.

Later I wandered down to the ice rink which has been reinstated for the winter holidays. The lights glistened and I enjoyed the freshness of the cold. The autumn trees have an ethereal quality against the backdrop of the falling snow. It was great to see so many happy families enjoying and ice rink and accompanying craft shops.

Made me realise that I don’t seem to mind the changing of the seasons. It makes you feel invigorated and part of life. Do others feel the same?
